Welcome to our new website!  The Humane Society of Cambria County is here to serve both the animals and the people of Johnstown and all of Cambria County, Pennsylvania.   Our primary purpose is to place homeless companion animals into permanent, loving homes and to promote public education and awareness.

We have sheltered more than 126,000 stray, abused, and unwanted pets since we were founded in 1976 and that number continues to grow.   The motto of the Humane Society is "Open Your Heart" and we invite you to see the wonderful animals waiting for adoption into a new family.

Along with animal adoption, the Humane Society also provides other critical services to the community.  These include dog licenses, public education, spay/neuter advocacy, cruelty investigations, and animal rescue operations.
