Volunteer!

Our Humane Society volunteers assist the shelter animals and staff in many different ways and their help is truly appreciated! The reward gained from caring for shelter animals is only outdone when an animal finds a new and loving home. To apply for a volunteer position, please download the Volunteer Application or stop by the shelter during business hours to pick one up. Areas of interest where volunteers are especially helpful are:

Fundraising Events/Special Events
Dog Walking
Helping with Morning Dishes/Laundry
Educational Events/Community Outreach
Yard Work/Maintenance
Cutting out Dog Bandanas
Holiday Supplies and Pet Food Drive
Rabies Clinic
Mailings
Unfolding Newspapers (Used daily as animal bedding)
Taking Digital Photos of Adoptable Pets

While we are usually able to accommodate everyone with a desire to help, sometimes due to time, space, or other constraints, we are unable to provide volunteer opportunities to all who request them. Please Note: Volunteers under the age of 18 are not permitted to participate in activities that involve direct contact with the animals.
